![]() ![]() Say "magically" because MS is no longer selling Office 2016, nor is it selling 2019 Pro Plus as part of the HUP. Or $15-20 if you magically got it as a valid HUP license. 2016 Pro Plus should be US$500+ if it came as a legitimate "volume" license. If you have a valid 2016 Pro Plus license it will show up in MyAccount, along with 365.Ĭheck #4: How much did you pay? 365 Personal costs approx US$70 per year. Go to Apps and scroll down to find Microsoft Office, what version(s) of Microsoft Office are listed there?Ĭheck to see if there more than one version of Office installed.Ĭheck #3: Log in to the MyAccount page and see what Office licenses you have associated with your email account. Potentially a variation on this:Ĭheck #2: Repeat Dave's suggestion, Open the Settings App (gear icon on your Start Menu) Also check to see if there is a 365 license showing. It is hard to get, but is commonly bootlegged on the internet.Ĭheck #1: in Word go back to the File > Account pane and check to see if Pro Plus shows that it is activated. The problem is that Pro Plus is a very limited distribution bundle. Having 2016 Pro Plus show up in the applications is a concern, especially since it does not agree with the MyAccount. They get it right most of the time, but sometimes they come up with strange mistakes. MS is incompetent when it comes to reporting Office version information. ![]()
